Indoor Playgrounds at the Gold Coast
The Gold Coast has some of the most kid-friendly beaches and outdoor playgrounds in the world, but when the sun is scorching hot, or the forecast is predicting drenching rain, you may find yourself searching for an indoor playground to keep the kids happy and active. We’ve done the research for you and found the Gold Coast’s best indoor playcentres so that all you have to do is punch the address into your navigational system and start driving. Just don’t forget the kids’ socks!
The Chipmunks play centre in Robina is suitable for kids aged 0 – 11 years and is open seven days a week. Mondays to Saturdays it is open from 9 am until 5 pm, and on Sundays, it is open from 10 am until 4 pm. The centre features two indoor age zones: a toddler zone and main zone for older children. The onsite cafe offers barista-made coffee. snacks and meals and is situated so you can supervise your children in the play areas while sipping on a hot beverage in the dining area.

Big Top Playhouse, Coomera
The BigTop Playhouse is an open-air facility with play structures, disco room, party area, and a cafe that prides itself on yummy meals and homemade treats. Adults are encouraged to play with their children in the play structures, but this circus-themed centre is best suited for children aged 8 months – 8 years. Opening hours are 9 am until 3 pm from Monday to Thursday, from 9 am until 5 pm on Fridays, and 9 am until 4 pm on weekends. An added bonus: the play equipment is disinfected daily and the ball pit sanitized regularly.

Bounce Inc Australia, Burleigh Waters
Bounce Inc is an indoor trampoline and adrenaline playground with no age restrictions. At the Burleigh Waters franchise, there is also a massive indoor playground and the opportunity to play bubble soccer (think regular soccer but with big inflatables). There is an onsite canteen and Bounce Inc is open seven days, including evenings. Monday to Thursday the centre is open from 10 am until 8pn, on Fridays from 10 am until 9 pm, Saturday from 9 am until 9 pm and Sunday from 9 am until 6 pm.

Kidz Biz, South Tweed Heads
At the Kidz Biz Fun Centre, it’s all about – you guessed it – kids having fun! To keep the kids busy there is a climbing structure, jumping castles, slides and a toddler area. For the parents, there is an onsite cafe for all your caffeine requirements. Opening hours are Mondays 9 am until 1 pm, Tuesdays to Fridays 9 am until 4 pm, and weekends from 9 am until 5 pm. This centre is best suited to children aged 10 years and younger.

Inflatable World, Burleigh
Inflatable World at Burleigh is exactly as the name suggests: a big area filled with inflatable activities! Sessions are for two hours, and parents are welcome to join in. There is also a cafe that serves O Organic Coffee and snacks such as cookies, muffins, packets of chips, ice blocks, and a selection of cold drinks. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks and a filtered water bubbler if provided so you can refill your own drink bottle. Please note, this centre is only open on weekends but check their website for possible extended holiday hours

Inflatable World, Arundel
Inflatable World at Arundel is a great place to let the kids burn off some energy on the epic jumping castles and other inflatables. Please note, this centre is only open on weekends but check their website for possible extended school holiday hours, this indoor play centre also allows you to bring your own snacks and drinks, and provides a water drinking fountain for refills. Alternatively, you can purchase snacks and drinks from the onsite canteen.

Doodlebugs is a fully air-conditioned play centre with complimentary Wi-Fi, a toddler area and a cafe. The main play area includes an indoor train and a cannonball battle zone with foam balls. There is also an outdoor seating area, located adjacent to the cafe, with an uninterrupted view of the main play area. This centre is open from 9 am until 3 pm Monday to Fridays, from 9 am until 4 pm on Saturdays and from 9 am until 1 pm on Sundays.

For more fun of the bouncy variety, there is Reboundland at Elanora. This play centre features 15 interactive inflatables suitable for all ages. Kids can show off their skills in the Lagoon Of Doom, conquer their fears on the 5.5m high Mount Daunting or dash through the Speed Racer. There is also an area dedicated to the under 5’s called the Misty Kingdom, a café and a mezzanine level seating area to watch all the excitement unfold. During school holidays, the centre is open from Monday to Friday from 9 am until 3 pm, Saturdays from 9 am until 5 pm and Sundays from 9 am until 3 pm.

Abrakidazzle and Smileez, Southport
The Abrakidazzle and Smileez play centre promise hours of fun for kids aged between 0 and 10 years. There’s a multi-level maze with slides and tunnels, as well as a jumping castle and ball pit. Open seven days per week between 9 am and 3 pm, the play centre also has a cafe with an extensive menu, including tea and coffee for the adults, and even high tea for something a bit fancier. Families will also appreciate the free wifi on offer.
