Brisbane and the surrounding areas have an amazing array of markets to explore, where you can stock up on a bounty of farm fresh produce, browse handmade, artisan products, or sit back and enjoy delicious food from around the world while watching the bustle of eager shoppers pass by.

Inner Brisbane City Sunday Markets

Boundary Street Markets

Where: 56 Russell Street, West End

When: Every Sunday, 9am–3pm

Often simply referred to as the West End Markets, this local market offers fruit and vegetables, global cuisines, arts and crafts, fashion and more. It is a bustling market in a great location, close to the Brisbane River.

Brisbane River Markets

Where: Brisbane River Golf Course, Karana Downs

When: Fourth Sunday of each month, 7am-12 noon

This westside market boasts over 80 stalls, with farm fresh produce, fashion and accessories, art and crafts, delicious food, plants and more! There are even family activities to enjoy too.

Brisbane Vegan Markets

Where: Rumpus Room, corner of Boundary Road and Russell Street, West End

When: The second and fourth Sunday of each month, 9am–3pm

This specialised market offers a wide range of vegan products, including food, clothing and cosmetics. You can also find ethical charities here.

Kids & Bubs Market

Where: Rumpus Room, corner of Boundary Road and Russell Street, West End

When: The first Sunday of each month, 9am–2pm

This boutique kids’ market offers unique items for kids and babies, including clothing and accessories and more. It also often offers extras such as face painting, jumping castle, petting zoo and other activities. Street food and coffee is also usually available.

Rainbow Markets

Where: Rumpus Room, corner of Boundary Road and Russell Street, West End

When: The third Sunday of each month, 8am–2pm

This market offers local produce, fashion, arts and crafts and more.

Riverside Markets at the Gardens

Where: City Botanic Gardens, Corner of Alice Street and Albert Street, Brisbane City

When: Every Sunday, 8am–3pm

The Riverside Markets are located in the stunning setting of the City Botanic Gardens and have been operating for over 30 years. The markets specialise in arts and fashion, great international foods and coffee. They also have live music for a lovely, happy atmosphere. Enjoy breakfast and shopping at the markets, then explore the gardens and let the kids let of steam at the newly refurbished playground.

Riverside Markets at the Pier

Where: Riverside Centre, 123 Eagle Street, Brisbane City

When: 7am–3pm every Sunday

This popular market is located in a lovely setting on the north bank of the Brisbane River and has been running for over 20 years. It offers a wide range of arts, crafts, clothing, jewellery, household items, books, food and more.

South Bank Young Designers Market

Where: Little Stanley Street, South Bank, Brisbane

When: First Sunday of each month, 10am–4pm

You can shop from 80 rising stars at this lovely Sunday market offering a range of fashion, jewellery, art, homewares and more. Showcasing the work of up-and-coming designers, this market is the perfect place to buy gifts and new outfits.

The Collective Markets

Where: Stanley Street Plaza, South Bank

When: Every Sunday, 9am–4pm

Visit this great market for original art, photography, fashion, arts and crafts, jewellery, food and even live music. This is a great place to potter and find unique gifts. Plus it’s right next to South Banks Parklands with Streets Beach and the awesome Riverside Green Playground.

Vindie Markets

Where: Rumpus Room, corner of Boundary Road and Russell Street, West End

When: The fourth Sunday of each month, 10am–3pm

This is a vintage, hippy, gypsy market that sells fashion, jewellery, homewares and more. It also offers live music and wholesome and delicious food.

North Brisbane Markets

Bardon Market

Where: Corner of Baroona Road and Rainworth Road, Bardon

When: Sundays, 6am–12 noon

This community market sells fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, meat, baked goods, drinks and gifts.

Milton Markets

Where: CDOP, Cribb Street, Milton

When: Every Sunday, 6am–12 noon

This is a foodie, farmers and lifestyle market. With over 140 stalls it covers a wide variety of products, including farm fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, seafood, eggs, and arts and crafts. There is also live music and activities for the kids.

Mitchelton Farmers Markets

Where: Blackwood Street, Mitchelton

When: First Sunday of each month, 6am–12 noon

This is one of the popular Jan Power’s Farmers Markets. It offers fruit and vegetables, cooked foods, meats, freshly baked breads, fish, flowers and more.

Northey Street Organic Markets

Where: Corner of Northey Street and Victoria Street, Windsor

When: Every Sunday, 6–11am

This market sells certified organic produce, including fruit and vegetables, breakfasts, smoothies, coffees, dry foods, bread, eggs, cheese, meats and more. It also offers ethical gifts, jewellery and clothing.

Nundah Farmers Markets

Where: Station Street, Nundah

When: Every Sunday, 6am–12 noon

Head here for breakfast, freshly roasted coffee, fresh produce, meat and seafood, eggs and herbs and spices. You will also find plants and flowers, arts and crafts, gifts and homewares.

Old Petrie Town Markets

Where: Dayboro Road, Kurwongbah

When: Every Sunday, 7am–1pm

For markets mixed with local history, visit Old Petrie Town. There are fresh fruit and vegetables, gourmet foods, arts and crafts, jewellery and also entertainment.

Redcliffe Jetty Markets

Where: Redcliffe Parade, Redcliffe

When: Every Sunday, 8am–2pm

This is a beautiful beachside market where you can get farm fresh produce, lovely foods, arts and crafts, jewellery, clothing, toys and handmade items. The Redcliffe Jetty Markets has free entertainment and it is pet-friendly which we love!

Satori Organic Farmers Market

Where: 198 Seymour Street, Sandgate

When: Every Sunday, 7am–11am

This market features seasonal, local produce from spray free and organic producers. You can also get artisan breads, and produce from local makers and artisans is coming soon.

South Brisbane Markets

Cleveland Village Farmers Market

Where: Bloomfield Street, Cleveland

When: Every Sunday, 7am–1pm

This market has been running for over 30 years and features over 70 stalls selling products including fresh produce, arts and crafts, food, flowers and breads. It also has entertainment so it’s great for a family morning out.

Global Food Village

Where: Croydon Road, Woodridge Station, Logan Central

When: Every Sunday, 6am–2pm

This is a multicultural food market featuring local and exotic fruits and vegetables, and amazing street food from around the world.

Manly Creative Markets

Where: Little Bayside Park, Manly

When: Every Sunday, 8am–3pm

This lovely market sells fruit and vegetables, food, baked goods, arts and crafts, plants, coffee and more. It also usually has kids’ rides, entertainment, even a dog wash.

Sunday Discovery Market

Where: 250 Sherwood Road, Rocklea

When: Every Sunday, 6am–12 noon

With over 380 stalls, the Sunday Discovery Market aka Rocklea Markets, is Brisbane’s biggest trash and treasure market. You can expect to find fruit and vegetables, plants, antiques, clothing, accessories, homeware items, electronics, international food stalls, coffees and more. Note that pedestrian entry costs $1.

    Brisbane River Market at Karana Downs is very family and dog friendly with lots of quality stalls and great food choices. Try it out 4th Sunday of every month
