Winter Markets in Brisbane 2022

Winter is the perfect time to browse markets in and around Brisbane! Rug up for an early morning start to wander around the markets with a coffee or hot chocolate. As you explore grab some fantastic local fresh produce, spoil yourself with incredible wares from local artisans and have a bite to eat.  Whether you are enjoying the midday sun or heading out for an evening filled with lights, sounds and flavours from around the world, there’s a market for everyone. 

Here are some markets we love to explore in the colder months. 

Winter Markets in Brisbane

BrisStyle Twilight Markets

King George Square – Friday 6th May, Friday 15th July, Friday 2nd September and Friday 2nd December 2022, from 4pm to 9pm.

Held in King George Square, these markets showcase treasures that are all 100% locally handmade. Browse creations by local artisans and handmade wares, then grab a bite to eat at one of the food stalls and take a break while enjoying some live music.

Global Food Markets

Corner of Croydon Road and Station Road, Woodridge, every Sunday from 6am to 12 noon

This is a fantastic market to visit to taste some of the flavours that multicultural Brisbane has to offer.  Hard to find produce and ingredients including Kundru, Jack Fruit, Cassava and Durian can be found, and food stalls featuring cuisines from across Asia, the Middle East and Africa are represented.

The Collective Markets – South Bank

Stanley Street Plaza, South Bank, every Friday from 5pm to 9pm, every Saturday from 10am to 9pm and every Sunday from 9am to 4pm

This market features a varied mix of unique gifts, vintage and trending fashion, original art, foodie stalls, live music and more. All in an open-air setting in the heart of Brisbane’s cultural precinct.

Powerhouse, Lamington Street, New Farm, from 6am to 12 noon every Saturday

Manly Harbour Royal Esplanade, Manly, from 6am to 12noon on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month

Blackwood Street, Mitchelton, from 6am to 12 noon on the 1st Sunday of each month

These farmers markets are staples in Brisbane and are at three great locations – New Farm, Manly and Mitchelton.  They’re known for a great selection of farm-fresh South East Queensland produce, great food and a bustling market atmosphere.

Rocklea Markets Brisbane Marketplace

Brisbane Marketplace (Rocklea Markets)

Sherwood Road, Rocklea, every Saturday from 6am to 12 noon

On Saturdays, explore the Saturday Fresh Market, where you’ll find a fantastic array of fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables, market food, plants, flowers and more, these large markets (over 200 stalls!). The Rocklea Markets are a Brisbane institution!

Please note there is an entry fee of $2 per pedestrian over 15 years, or $6 per vehicle for premium parking and entry for all passengers.

Mount Gravatt Markets

Mt Gravatt Street Food Markets – first Saturday of the month, 4pm to 9pm 

Mt Gravatt Sunday Markets, Sunday mornings, 6am to noon 

The Mt Gravatt Showgrounds are home to two distinct markets – every Saturday evening it hosts the Mt Gravatt Street Food markets, and then on Sunday mornings it transforms into a more traditional market, including fresh produce, bric-a-brac and more.

These markets have a $2 entry fee, with children under 16 free.

Valley Laneway Markets

Valley Laneway Markets will take a break for the first half of 2022. Check back for return dates. 

Bakery Lane, California Lane, Winn Lane and Valley Mall, Fortitude Valley, on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 9am to 2pm

Wander around Fortitude Valley and explore some of the reclaimed laneway spaces in and around the Brunswick Street Mall.  Find fashion, art and other creations from local artists and see a different side to the Valley.

West End Markets

Davies Park, Montague Road and Jane Street, West End, every Saturday 6am to 2pm

Set alongside the Brisbane River, stroll the West End Markets to discover local artists, designers and small businesses. An eclectic blend of unique vendors sell their wares including farm-fresh produce, fashion, handcrafted gifts and homewares, food stalls and more. Live music will provide the perfect soundtrack to your West End market experience. 

Goodwill Project Christmas in July Markets

Stay tuned for Christmas in July market dates for 2022. 

We love the idea of Christmas in July Markets and Goodwill projects are hosting several, all over Brisbane. 

Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets Christmas in July  Unique, handcrafted and locally made gifts, fashion and accessories are on display. Visitors can also enjoy live entertainment!

Redcliffe Christmas in July Twilight Markets  Enjoy gourmet Street eats, family activities, one of a kind shopping and FIREWORKS at these twilight markets in Redcliffe. 

Nundah Christmas in July Twilight Markets  This market features a bespoke ‘North Pole’ Pop up bar, amazing live music, foodie delights, artisan shopping, from unique designers.

Kuraby Christmas in July Twilight Markets  A foodie heaven with amazing street food, plus unique shopping and festive live music.

Carseldine Christmas in July Twilight Markets Featuring a huge range of incredible food stalls, artisans, producers, makers, creators and crafters.

Eumundi Markets

80 Memorial Drive, Eumundi, every Wednesday 8am to 2pm and Saturday 7am to 2pm

A South East Queensland institution! The Eumundi Markets are set in a picturesque town on the Sunshine Coast hinterland and are the largest art and craft markets in Australia, with a huge variety of stalls from local artists and makers, farmers and producers as well as food and music, plus more. Now is a great time to check them out as they’re normally a draw for international tourists.

Coolum Primary School, Barns Lane, Coolum Beach, every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month 8am to 12 noon 

Either side of Alexandra Headland Skatepark, Alexandra Headland, pop up events 7am to 12 noon 

These markets feature local Sunshine Coast artisans, foodies, growers and musicians who gather and showcase their craft to Sunshine Coast locals and visitors from afar.

The Foreshore, Surfers Paradise – every Wednesday, Friday & Saturday, 4pm to 9pm

This long-running market features iconic Australian goods, artisan and handmade wares, gourmet provisions, fresh produce and more. Supporting local and distant producers and overlooking Surfers Paradise Beach, these markets attract locals and tourists alike.

Miami Marketta

23 Hillcrest Parade, Miami, every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night from 5pm until late

Serving up street food from around the globe, this Gold Coast destination features a range of flavours and a festival atmosphere, with free live music to entertain the crowds.

Evergreen Festival

NB. There will be NO Evergreen Festival in 2022. It is set to return in July 2023. 

Tamborine Mountain, July 7 to 9, 2023 10am – 8pm daily.

The Evergreen Festival aims to create the feel of a European Winter market.  There will be mulled wine and roasted chestnuts for a festive continental atmosphere and light installations to enjoy.  There are ticketed events and dining experiences accompanying these markets so be sure to check their website for more information as it’s announced.
