Winter Markets in Brisbane 2021
Winter is the perfect time to browse markets in and around Brisbane! Rug up for an early morning to wander around with a coffee or hot chocolate and grab some fantastic local fresh produce, spoil yourself with some incredible wares from local artisans and enjoy the midday sun or head out for an evening filled with lights, sights, sounds and flavours from around the world. There’s a market for everyone!

Winter Markets in Brisbane
North Lakes by Night
Westfield North Lakes, every Saturday night from 5pm to 9pm
This new market boasts food trucks, market stalls, live music, children’s entertainment and more. In July 2021 they will be having a ‘Christmas in July’ theme to their weekly markets!

BrisStyle Twilight Markets
King George Square, on 30 July, 24th September & 27 November 2021 from 4pm to 9pm
Held in King George Square, these markets showcase treasures that are all 100% locally handmade. Browse creations by local artisans and handmade wares, then grab a bite to eat at one of the food stalls and take a break while enjoying some live music.
Brisbane Night Noodle Markets
Brisbane City Botanic Gardens, from 21 July to 1 August 2021
The Night Noodle Markets will be back at the new location of the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens for Good Food Month in July 2021. Entry is free.
Global Food Markets
Corner of Croydon Road and Station Road, Woodridge, every Sunday from 6am to 12 noon
This is a fantastic market to visit to taste some of the flavours that multicultural Brisbane has to offer. Hard to find produce and ingredients including Kundru, Jack Fruit, Cassava and Durian can be found, and food stalls featuring cuisines from across Asia, the Middle East and Africa are represented.
The Collective Market South Bank
Stanley Street Plaza, South Bank, every Friday from 5pm to 9pm, every Saturday from 10am to 9pm and every Sunday from 9am to 4pm
This market features a varied mix of unique gifts, vintage and trending fashion, original art, foodie stalls, live music and more, all an open-air setting in the heart of Brisbane’s cultural precinct.
Jan Powers Farmers Markets
Powerhouse, Lamington Street, New Farm, from 6am to 12 noon every Saturday
Manly Harbour Royal Esplanade, Manly, from 6am to 12noon on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month
Blackwood Street, Mitchelton, from 6am to 12 noon on the 1st Sunday of each month
These farmers markets are staples in Brisbane and are at 3 great locations of New Farm, Manly and Mitchelton. They’re known for a great selection of farm-fresh South East Queensland produce, great food and a market atmosphere.
Brisbane Marketplace (AKA Rocklea Markets)
Sherwood Road, Rocklea, every Saturday & Sunday from 6am to 12 noon
On Saturdays, explore the Saturday Fresh Market, where you’ll find a fantastic array of fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables, market food, plants, flowers and more, these large markets (over 200 stalls!). On Sundays, the Sunday Discovery Market turns into Brisbane’s biggest trash and treasure market with new and secondhand items including vintage clothing and furniture, collectibles and more, whilst also featuring plants, fresh fruit and vegetables and food stalls. The Rocklea Markets are a Brisbane institution!
Please note that there is an entry fee of $1 per pedestrian over 15 years, or $4 per vehicle.
Mount Gravatt Markets
Mt Gravatt Showgrounds, every Saturday from 4pm to 9pm (Mt Gravatt Street Food Markets)
Mt Gravatt Showgrounds, every Sunday morning from 6am to 12pm (traditional market)
The Mt Gravatt Showgrounds are home to two distinct markets – every Saturday evening it hosts the Mt Gravatt Street Food markets, and then on Sunday mornings it transforms into a more traditional market, including fresh produce, bric-a-brac and more.
These markets have a $2 entry fee, with children under 16 free.
Valley Laneway Markets
Bakery Lane, California Lane, Winn Lane and Valley Mall, Fortitude Valley, on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 9am to 2pm
Wander around Fortitude Valley and explore some of the reclaimed laneway spaces in and around the Brunswick Street Mall. Find fashion, art and other creations from local artists and see a different side to the Valley.

WINTER MARKETS ON THE SUNSHINE COAST
80 Memorial Drive, Eumundi, every Wednesday from 8am to 2pm and Saturday from 7am to 2pm
A South East Queensland institution! The Eumundi Markets are set in a picturesque town on the Sunshine Coast hinterland and are the largest art and craft markets in Australia, with a huge variety of stalls from local artists and makers, farmers and producers as well as food and music, plus more. Now is a great time to check them out as they’re normally a draw for international tourists.
Sunshine Coast Collective Markets
Coolum Primary School, Barns Lane, Coolum Beach, every 4th Sunday of the month from 8am to 12 noon
Either side of Alexandra Headland Skatepark, Alexandra Headland, every 2nd Saturday of each month from 7am to 12 noon
These markets feature local Sunshine Coast artisans, foodies, growers and musicians who gather and showcase their craft to Sunshine Coast locals and visitors from afar.
WINTER MARKETS ON THE GOLD COAST
Tamborine Mountain, from 18 to 20 June 2021
The Evergreen Festival aims to create the feel of a European Winter market. There will be mulled wine and roasted chestnuts for a festive continental atmosphere and light installations to enjoy. There are ticketed events and dining experiences accompanying these markets so be sure to check their website for more information as it’s announced.
Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets
The Foreshore, Surfers Paradise, every Wednesday, Friday & Saturday from 4pm to 9pm
