Tivoli Drive In Theatre
Every Saturday night, the Tivoli Drive-in comes alive with family drive-in movies for Brisbane and Ipswich residents. Be entertained in old-school style, rugged up in the back seat of your car, ready to enjoy the movies on offer.
Let your kids rock up in their PJ’s and fall asleep in the car just like you used to when you were a kid. There is no dress code for you either- so do as you wish!

The Tivoli Drive-in Cafe
The Tivoli Drive-in is a community-run initiative that aims to offer a great and affordable night out for families, whilst also providing on-the-job- training for unemployed members of the community in the cinema cafe. The onsite cafe caters with affordable and super yummy food that is perfect for hungry Brisbane Kids. Additionally, you can join their Tivoli Drive-in club to receive discounts on food and drinks.
Tivoli Drive-in opening times
The Tivoli’s gates open at 4pm every Saturday. From 4pm visitors can browse the market stalls and enjoy other community activities. The first movie screens at 7pm from October through to March each year, with a 6:30pm screening time from April to September.
Tivoli Drive-in admission costs
For only $10 per car, the whole family can enjoy two movies in the comfort of their favourite chair. There’s no need to get dressed up – PJs are completely acceptable! What’s even better is that the kids can fall asleep and it’s ok.

The Tivoli is located at Chuwar, near Ipswich. Just take the Mt Crosby Rd exit off the Warrego Highway (ie. Tivoli / Mt Crosby / Karalee / Karana Downs exit) and turn left into Mt Crosby Service Road at the roundabout on the Karalee side of the highway. Then just follow the Mt Crosby Service Road around into Coal Road – and you will find the cinema about 500 metres up the road on the left-hand side. Map links are on their website.
