Sumners Road Park – The Fun
Brisbane BMX and Skater Kids will love this park. Tucked out of the way at the very end of Sumners Road in Riverhills is this BMX heaven. Dirt jumps (banks and berms, to those in the know) are provided next to a concrete ramp area with rails and other rad formations to practice riding, jumping and tricking for as long as their gear holds out. Play equipment and a picnic table are also provided for younger children or those wanting a break from riding.
Your Brisbane Kid can BE their BMX hero like Bodi Turner or Caroline Buchanan, performing air tricks or time trials around the dirt track or the concrete ramps of Riverside Youth Space in Sumners Road Park.
Sumners Road Park has a small wheelchair-accessible toilet block. A picnic shelter adjacent to the playground makes keeping an eye on younger Brisbane Kids easier. The playground is sheltered by a shade structure. There are several flat bike and walking paths for wheelchair and pram access.
