Open only two years and already this place has marked itself as a firm favourite for families. Beautiful dining spaces, views, a petting zoo and generous playground are only some of its many highlights.
What’s On The Menu?
For the Parents
With a location that boasts views over the Pumicestone Passage and Moreton Bay, the menu at Sandstone Point Hotel is heavily influenced by the locally available seafood and is a venue that was well deserving of its title of “Australia’s Best Hotel” last year. With the bar/cafe menu offering affordable light bites such as toasties, wraps, quiches, baguettes and an array of freshly baked goods it’s an easy place to drop in with the family any day of the week. The extensive restaurant menu though may be hard to go past though with everything you may want and more on offer. Steaks, seafood, pasta, pizza, burgers and salads – its all there and it all looks delicious!
The famous Oyster Shed is yet another option if you are after some casual, outdoor fish and chips. Dine in or take away options are both available for this and the menu can be viewed here.
For the Kids
The kids menu lists every meal at just $7.50 and provides favourites such as chicken tenders, spaghetti, pizza and fish but also offers kids the option of a cheeseburger or mini roast as well.
Allergy Free Options
There are gluten free options peppered throughout the menu – please just let the waiter know of any dietary requirements you may have so they can aim to cater for all.
Kids Play Options
Ok, so seriously, where to start?? Yes they provide drawing material but that is the last thing your kids will be asking for once they start to explore what is on offer. This place was built with the whole family in mind and kids will be completely besotted with all that has been created for them at the Sandstone Point Hotel. Outdoors, but safely enclosed, is an amazing playground and incredible petting zoo / farm experience. Both are available for kids to enjoy daily with plenty of sweet, baby animals on hand for children to delight in and with. The climbing castle is designed to look like an outback farm, with rain water towers, windmills and sheds.
Along with acres of grass for kids to run free on, a trampoline and soccer nets there is really nothing the team at Sandstone have not thought of.
Indoors you will find an internal playroom which includes a big screen TV and games for older children.
Other Child-Friendly Services Provided
Highchairs, baby change areas and plenty of pram parking are all available.
The hotel offers a calendar that is full with events and entertainment weekly. For the full list of what is coming up be sure to check out their website or Facebook page. Bands and DJs regularly liven up the already jovial atmosphere.
