Over 2 massive weeks from the 26th August to 10th September, Redcliffe will be the place to be as Moreton Bay’s biggest celebration, the Redcliffe Festival, presents an awesome program of family friendly entertainment. The Festival has everything from amazing fireworks displays to billycart races, spectacular light art, live entertainment, rides and kids activities held in multiple sites across the Redcliffe Peninsula over 3 huge weekends.
Redcliffe KiteFest 2017
Date: Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th August
Time: 9am-4pm daily
Location: Pelican Park, Hornibrook Esplanade, Clontarf.
Cost: $20 per family, $8 per adult, $5 per child (2-15years), FREE for kids under 2 years.
The main attraction at the Redcliffe Festival, Redcliffe KiteFest, features a program bursting with fun activities and entertainment for both young and old making it the perfect day out for any family. The program includes kites and kite flyers from around the world and acrobatic displays from the Yak-52 in the sky. On the water there will be water skiing shows and kite surfing. And on the land there will be markets, amazing food, rides, live entertainment including The TRolls and Paw Patrol in their very own live show and KiteFest Kidz, which is an area designed just for kids with free and low cost activities.

Location: Scarborough Park, Scarborough.
Back again for another year at Redcliffe Festival, the Scarborough foreshore will be the place to be on Father’s Day afternoon as the amazing world class acts take to the stage to entertain the crowds at Scarborough Sounds. Families are invited to bring their picnic blankets and enjoy some cheese and wine as they delight in the entertainment on offer. The incredible artists including The Steele Syndicate, The Natural Culture, Taleena Peck, The Breann Fielding Trio, Mark Lowndes, and Dan Horne. Plus there will be a giant rainbow bonfire that everyone can be mesmerized by, an onsite barte as well as an amazing range of gourmet food stalls including dessert and beverage vendors so families can purchase their meals on the night.

Jetty Fiesta – Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead)
Date: Saturday 9th September
Location: Redcliffe Parade, Redcliffe.
A highlight of the Redcliffe Festival, the Jetty Fiesta sees Redcliffe Parade come alive with colour and action this year the event takes on a Mexican theme with Jetty Fiesta Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead). This free street party, which has a will entertain the whole family with croving entertainers, fire twirling, mesmerizing light displays, live stage entertainment, twilight markets and food stalls. At 8pm, the biggest fireworks display Moreton Bay has ever seen will light up the sky as hundreds of fireworks explode from the Jetty and water as this year jet skis join in on the action and add a new element of surprise to the fireworks display. The fireworks display will be followed by a laser light show to end this not to be missed event.

Date: Sunday 10th September
Location: Redcliffe Parade, Redcliffe.
A Redcliffe Festival favourite, Redcliffe Remembers brings a little bit of history to the Festival. On the Foreshore, there will be a re-enactment of the first European Settlement and an Indigenous Welcome. The historical theme will be continued in the Penny Arcade which has been recreated with a modern twist for the Festival with popular arcade games such as air hockey and pinball installed in the arcade to entertain the whole family. The main stage will entertain the crowd with a wide range of musical acts while the Revin’ Up Redcliffe motor show will be the place to see over 100 custom and classic cars. Markets will line the waterfront with hundreds of specialty stores for everyone to browse through while roving performers and buskers will be scattered throughout the markets adding to the festival atmosphere. Just for the kids there will be billy cart races where you can bring your own cart to race or pay a small fee to hire one.
