Get ready to see superheroes, princesses, Star Wars Toopers, fairies, TV show and movie stars as the ultimate pop culture event, Oz Comic Con, comes to Brisbane in September 2018. This family friendly event encourages everyone to get into the pop culture spirit and dress up as their favourite character – whether that be one of The Incredibles, Ironman, Cinderella, Freddy Kruger or a Games of Thrones character – at a gathering where you never know who you might run into!

What’s on at Oz Comic Con Brisbane in 2018?

Oz Comic-Con is a one stop destination for pop culture fans in Brisbane, with a show floor packed with exhibitors, autograph and photograph opportunities with the hottest celebrities, and one-of-a-kind panel events allowing people to get up close and personal with some of the biggest names in comics, TV, movies, anime, manga, sci-fi, fantasy and animation.

For families this year, Oz Comic Con has a gaming zone, kids Cosplay parade, Anime station and a special room where kids can engage in arts, crafts and all kinds of fun activities. Anime fans will have their knowledge tested with trivia, and die-hard cosplayers can kick off their journey to take home the international title, in each city’s Championship of Cosplay heat. Gamers will be getting a work-out too, with Couch Warriors, putting their skills to the test in daily tournaments of new and classic titles.

Plus, with all the effort hardcore fans go to with cosplay, your child is certain to meet one of their heroes! In the past, characters such as The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Tinkerbell, Captain America, Batman and The Power Rangers have all been spotted at this magical event that encourages everyone to have fun and embrace their inner geek.

Comic Con Brisbane always draws some major celebrities and this year will be no different.  This year the following celebrities will attend Oz Comic Con:

  • Dichen Lachman – Altered Carbon, Dollhouse, The 100 and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
  • Scott Ian – Anthrax (band)  and The Walking Dead
  • Christy Carlson Romano – Kim Possible, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
  • Gates McFadden – Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Nemsis, Star Trek: Insurrection
  • Wayne Nichols – Comic book illustrator for The Incredible Hulk, Spiderman, Exiles, Orphan Black, The X-Files, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
  • Marcelo Baez- Comic book illustrator for Marvel Super Heroes Squad, GISH, Phantom, Wolverine, Verge
  • PLUS a host of comic, Cosplay and publishing guests.

Oz Comic Con Brisbane

When is the Oz Comic Con in Brisbane?

Oz Comic Con will be held in Brisbane on the 22nd and 23rd of September, from 9.00am-6.00pm daily, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Merivale Street, South Brisbane.

Oz Comic Con Ticket Prices

There are many ticketing options available for Oz Comic Con; from a general admission single day ticket through to the Platinum Pass ticket which includes autographs, meet and greet session and priority queuing. The best bit is that every paying adult general admission ticket gets a free general admission for kids under 12!

  • One Day General Admission- $42.50 ( plus receive a FREE child ticket ages 5-12years)
  • One Day Child General Admission- $20 (ages 4-12 years)
  • Weekend General Admission- $62.50 ( plus receive a FREE child ticket)
  • Weekend Child Ticket – $30 (ages 4-12 years)
  • Kids under 4 years are FREE
  • Priority Pass- $200
  • Platinum Pass- $600

Please note: prices quoted are tickets at the gate prices and maybe cheaper online, so to save money purchase your tickets online before you go to the event. Early bird tickets save up to 35% off door prices.
