Nutella Self Saucing Cake in A Cup

Just a pre-warning this is probably going to change your life. It is good, very very good. YES – you NEED cream. This is quick- took me a couple of minutes to make- I found you need a BIG mug or make sure you have atleast 1-2 cm of space left before the top of the glass


4 tablespoons of nutella

4 tablespoons self raising flour

4 tablespoons white white sugar

3 tablespoons cocoa powder

a free range egg

3 tablespoons milk

3 tablespoons of a vegetable oil


1. Mix all dry ingredients in a BIG mug and then add the oil, milk, egg and then nutella. MIX with a fork til nice and smooth.

2. Microwave on high for  around 90 sec (though yours might take a little more or less depending on your wattage- keep an eye on the rising)РThe first few times i made this it was undercooked- and let me tell you- I had NO issue with the excess sauce at the bottom of the mug.

3. Cover with a dollup of creme and shavings of chocolate. You could jazz it up with chocolate sauce or even dip some strawberries into it. YUM!!!

    Oh wow, we tried these last night and they were insane. Couldn’t finish them. I think we’ll have to halve the mix next time.

    made this tonight in a bowl, worked wonders! For some reason I cannot stick to a recipe and substituted one spoon of Nutella with peanut butter. Very Yum!!! and plenty for everyone!!!
