The Queensland Government and QAGOMA have just announced that Australia’s first Marvel- related exhibition will take place in Brisbane from May through to September 2017 which is great news for both big and little Brisbane Kids!
Marvel: Creating the Cinematic Universe
Marvel fans get excited as all of the Marvel superheroes descend on Brisbane in the largest ever Marvel exhibition to be staged in a museum. Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, The Black Widow, Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Panther will all be represented as original artwork, film props, costumes and more are flown in to form a unique and fun exhibition that Marvel fans will travel from all around Australia to see.
There will be so much to see and do as items from private collections and past and present Marvel movies are presented in one superhero- sized exhibition throughout 3 gallery spaces. Marvel comic artists, the development teams who translate the drawn narrative to the screen through production design and storyboarding, costume and prop design, special effects and post-production will be the main focus of ‘Marvel: Creating the Cinematic Universe’ which QAGOMA will also extend into GOMA’s Australian Cinémathèque with a retrospective of the official Marvel Cinematic Universe of films.
This fantastic Australian first exhibition will be sure to fascinate and delight Marvel fans of all ages in the ultimate display of superheroes that Marvel Fans will never forget.
Marvel: Creating the Cinematic Universe Dates
Marvel: Creating the Cinematic Universe is being held at the Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA), Stanley Place, Cultural Precinct, South Bank, Brisbane.
It will be showing in Gallery 1.1, Gallery 1.2 and Gallery 1.3 during Gallery opening hours which are 10am – 5pm daily on the following dates:
- 27th May 2017 – 3rd September 2017
Ticket Prices for Marvel: Creating the Cinematic Universe
A number of ticketing options are available to Marvel: Creating the Cinematic Universe while it is in Brisbane. These include:
- $25 per Adult Ticket
- $20 per Concession Ticket
- $10 per Child Ticket (5–12 years)
- $18 per Member Ticket
- $60 per Family Ticket (2 adults + up to 3 children)
Season Pass (Unlimited entry during the exhibition period)
- $75 per Adult Ticket
- $60 per Concession Ticket
- $30 per Child Ticket (5–12 years)
- $54 per Member Ticket
Gold Pass (Season exhibition pass and unlimited films)
- $150 per General Admission Ticket
