Lions Park in Woorim | Bribie Island park
Set back from the beach and shaded by trees is the Lions Park in Woorim – a fantastic park to escape to whilst avoiding the harsh sun of the middle of the day.
Lions Park Woorim – The Fun
The Lions Park has two fenced playgrounds with play equipment suited to slightly older Brisbane Kids. With climbing structures and swings under the trees, it’s the ideal escape from the summer heat of the nearby beach. You can order lunch at the fish and chip shop or pack a picnic and use one of the barbeques at the park. There is a large toilet block and plenty of walking or bike trails to keep everyone entertained. Then, of course, after lunch, you can head on down to the beach again. If you don’t fancy a swim in the ocean then bring your pooch and take advance of the nearby off-leash dog beach.
Whether it is escaping the monsters living under the bridge or climbing to the top of the ship’s masts to look out to sea, there is plenty to capture the imagination at Lions Park Woorim. Better suited to slightly older children, the amount of space and natural surroundings are perfect for discovering new games to play.
Lions Park in Woorim has toilet facilities and water fountains. The playground is fenced and is on a rubber base. There are bike and walking paths suited to wheelchair and pram use. Shady trees shelter parts of the playground during the day. With its location, we’d recommend hats and sunscreen as a must. Tables and electric barbeques are located in shaded areas, as well as bench seating scattered throughout the park.
