PreKanga – Pregnancy Prenatal Class

Brisbane’s first PreKanga prenatal exercise class is now accepting sign ups! Ideal for mums at any stage of their pregnancy who are looking for a fun workout that is specially designed for their bodies during an incredible time of transformation.

PreKanga is a very gentle workout that focuses on strengthening and maintaining healthy body movement throughout your whole pregnancy, as well as preparing your body for labour, birth, and life after your baby is born. You can begin PreKanga once you’ve been given approval from your health professional to exercise. This is anywhere from when you discover you’re pregnant, right up to your Estimated Due Date.

Classes are low impact, gentle, and will have participants feeling like they are ‘working’ but never to the point of ‘too hard’ or ‘challenging’. The class incorporates a myofascial release, a functional warm up, light and easy aerobic ‘dance-based’ exercises, modified planks and side planks, safe squats, gentle arm work without the use of weights, further specialised leg and buttocks strengthening exercises, concentrated pelvic floor muscle training, and the appropriate use of breaks and a cool down period.
