The roots of Halloween go back far beyond the Modern American Traditions. At Brisbane Kids we are very aware that lots of families not only enjoy Halloween, but would like ideas on how to celebrate it. To us it’s just another excuse to have fun and be silly!

We will continue to add to this list right up to and including Halloween so make sure you keep checking this article so you don’t miss out on any of the spooky fun!

Family Friendly Halloween Events in Brisbane 2019

We’ve got so many Halloween events in our Brisbane Kids calendar this year.  Here’s a run-down on what’s happening in Brisbane for kids this Halloween –

Halloween at the Fangtuary, halloween costume, pumpkin

Saturday 12th October

Happy Halloween

Dreamworld | Oxenford, 6pm – 10pm (also on 18, 19 and 26 October) – TICKET REQUIRED. 

Get the family into the not-so-spooky spirit during Dreamworld’s first ever Happy Halloween event, on select nights this October! Perfect for kids of all ages, there will be loads of entertainment, including trick-or-treating, a costume competition with prizes to win, a fun hay maze for the kiddos, rides at night, and so much more! Trick or Treat Little Stanley Street

Little Stanley Street | South Bank, 5pm – 8pm – REGISTRATION REQUIRED

On Friday 25 and Saturday 26 October, from 5pm-8pm, families will see the street lined with colourful Halloween characters creating a trail of trick or treat hotspots up and down South Bank’s restaurant strip, giving the chance for Halloween lovers to collect buckets of tasty goodies plus Brisbane Kids can visit the spooky pumpkin patch! Boggo Road Gaol | Dutton Park, 6.30pm – 7.30pm

A Night at the Museum

Queendland Museum | South Bank, 5pm – 8pm TICKETS REQUIRED

Bring your Brisbane Kids along to the Queensland Museum after it closed to the public for a special night of spooky Halloween museum fun! The night will not only include access to the museum exhibits after it closes, but there will be lots of hands on activities, demonstrations and pop-up shows, science shows, hula hooping, droid racing, children’s disco and more.. Fangtastic Halloween

How to organise a local Halloween Trick or Treat

Of course, you could organise your own spooky fun this Halloween. Check out Your guide to Halloween Etiquette > How to trick or treat in Brisbane for some great ideas that are sure to make your Brisbane Kid’s trick or treating experience a success. If you arent quite as crafty as the suggestions in the blog then we say – head to your local dollar shop and buy some balloons and pass them with a note to your neighbours asking them to put them on their letterboxes if interested.
