Brisbane Powerhouse and ImproMafia presents Gruesome Yarns at Brisbane Powerhouse during the Wonderland Festival in November and December 2016.

Gruesome Yarns

Inspired by the work of Roald Dahl, Rik Mayall’s Grim Tales and Tony Robinson’s Tales from Fat Tulips, join ImproMafia as they spin some gruesome yarns that are sure to entertain the whole family. Featuring some of Brisbane’s funniest improvisers, ImproMafia who have been making adults laugh for over 10 years finally have a chance to make the kids laugh as they tell disgusting and gross family friendly stories that are completely made up on the spot so you will never hear the same story twice!

The cast of extremely talented and funny actors are very excited about heading to the Powerhouse during the Wonderland Festival with a show that is especially for families. While Gruesome Yarns is suitable for kids big and small, it is recommended for Brisbane Kids aged 4-10 who it is said will find it the most fun and get lots of giggles.

Reviews have said the show is hilarious from start to finish and that each scene flows incredibly well filled with hilarious dialogue making a hilarious show.

This delightfully gruesome and a little disgusting production of Gruesome Yarns will have the entire audience laughing in a show set to entertain audiences young and old.

Gruesome Yarns Performances

All shows are on in the Centre Court at Brisbane Powerhouse, 119 Lamington Street, New Farm.

  • Saturday 26th November: 3.30pm
  • Saturday 3rd December: 3.30pm

The performance is 60 minutes in duration and does not include an interval.

Ticket Prices for Gruesome Yarns

  • $20 per person and $15 per concession with an additional book fee applied to each booking transaction.
  • Booking fee: Single tickets $3 / Multiple tickets $6.
