Wildlings Forest School Holiday Programs

Wildlings Forest School Holiday Programs give children the freedom to play, explore and learn from each other in a wild, bush environment.

During any of their sessions, you are likely to find children climbing trees or playing in the creek and using hand tools such as saws, drills, round tip pen knives and flints.

What is Wildlings Forest School?

Wildlings Forest School puts the dirt back in childhood! It’s a stunning nature space where children are given the freedom to play, explore and take reasonable risks.

All sessions are child-led, meaning that children come for a session and choose the activities they engage in. As children immerse themselves in nature, they explore, discover, and take risks supported by educators.

By following the forest school philosophy, Wildlings provide the time, the space and the tools for children to learn new skills through play. The aim is to promote children’s holistic development, which in turn fosters resilient, confident, independent, and creative learners. The benefits of this include:

  • social and emotional development,
  • physical fitness,
  • love of nature,
  • improved mental health,
  • learning by experience, and
  • exposure to manageable risk.

Cubby Town was fantastic, as soon as we left my daughter asked me to book her in again for Forrest School, she would go every day if possible!” – Kirsty Bradley

Thanks for a really amazing afternoon. It’s so special to have this program being offered right here in our neighbourhood. We attended the build your raft workshop, the boys smashed it out super quick and then were on to making bows and arrows and mudsliding. It felt like the lost boys in Neverland. The teachers were really skilled and encouraging and the boys had a great time. Thank you!” – Daniella Hoekasema

We attended the holiday cubby town session in Bardon and the kids had a fantastic time exploring the environment and tools. The staff were super patient and it’s obvious from the get-go safety is their utmost priority. I thought a 3-hour session would be really long, but the time just flew by… even for our 17 month old. Would definitely recommend and am looking forward to attending future sessions!” – Melissa Loh
