Circus of Illusion | Gold Coast June – July 2017
PLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT IS NOW FINISHED
M2 productions in association with Circus Royale are excited to present Circus of Illusion who will be performing during the school holidays under the Big Top from the 23rd June – 9th July 2017.
Circus of Illusion
Get ready to be amazed as the critically acclaimed Circus of Illusions heads to the Gold Coast with a cast of world class circus performers from around the world who will perform mind blowing performances under a circus style big top tent. Mitchell Park at Southport will be home to jugglers, clowns, mimes, illusionists and magicians as they host 2 hours of mystery and mayhem every day over the school holiday period.
Described as a circus show that will leave you totally amazed, mesmerized and on the edge of your seat, Circus of Illusions is hosted by New York Ring Master Ebon Grayman, who previously performed in Cirque Du Soleil. Grayman demands the audiences attention with his expressive and funny character comedy, but is not the only star of the circus.
Joining Grayman in the circus is Michael Boyd, an illusionist who was a finalist on Australia’s Got Talent and is well know for his death defying escapes, making people levitate and many other illusions he will amaze the audience with throughout the show.
French mime artist, Stephan Le Forestier, will ignite the imagination of Brisbane Kids young and old as he performs not only mime but also incredible magic tricks that have to be seen to be believed.
Beautiful aerials will be performed by a Gold Coast local, Elissa Cadwell, who will perform on silks and have the crowd gasping and clapping with delight as she falls from the ceiling and shows off her acrobatic abilities.
And finally no circus is complete without a clown and Duban Nickol will not disappoint and ensure the whole family is laughing in the aisles as he shares with the audience his comedic talents and clever antics.
The best bit about Circus of Illusions, and what makes it a must do these school holidays, is that it is a hands on experience. After enjoying the amazing show, Brisbane Kids will have the chance to visit the Museum of Magical Arts and Magic Workshops where they can learn all the secrets and how to do magic tricks.
This thrilling circus escapade combines creativity, acrobatics aerials, juggling, mime, clowns, illusions and magic acts that will impress circus, music and theatre lovers of all ages theses winter school holidays.

Circus of Illusion Review
The Circus of Illusion truly is a variety show, and is a lot of fun for the entire family! Before the show and during intermission you can enjoy magic workshops, marvel at magical curiosities, grab yourselves some magic kits to take home, and even enjoy some carnival style food in the foyer of the big top. During the almost two hour show, illusionists and magicians, aerial artists and comical clowns all kept us thoroughly entertained. Perhaps our favourite act, Duban Nickol left us in stitches with his slapstick comedy and crazy performance on the trampoline. The Circus of Illusion is a cut above the rest, and certainly filled with more edge-of-your-seat entertainment than the circuses I remember from my childhood.
