Where to find Christmas performances in Brisbane in 2019.

Christmas shows are always a fun family experience! From Carols by Candlelight to Queensland’s Ballet’s performance of the Nutcracker, you’re sure to find a Christmas performance to sprinkle a bit of festive sparkle and get your Brisbane Kids into the spirit of the season. Saturday 17th November

Santa’s Arrival and Magic Christmas Show | Riverlink, from 10.30am SOUTHSIDE

There will be a Santa’s Arrival Christmas Parade, a Christmas Magic Show, Gingerbread Man decorating, the kids can make their own Christmas basket & more… all for FREE.

Santa is coming to Town | Morayfield, 11am – 2pm NORTHSIDE

See Santa arrive at Morayfield with his friends from paw Patrol, Elmo & Cookie Monster, Trolls, TMNT, Mrs Claus, Rudolph, Frosty, Elves plus Mrs Claus storytelling, Paw Patrol Shows, Gingerbread decorating and more.

Sunday 18th November

Orion Christmas Street Party | Orion Springfield Central 10am – 4pm, IPSWICH

Attend a  Christmas Street Party where there will be markets a PJ Masks and Peppa Pig Stage Show, a meet and greet all your favourite characters, live music , free kids activities and more.

Thursday 22nd November

Santa’s Arrival | Brookside Shopping Centre 6pm-6.30pm NORTHSIDE

Celebrate the magic of Christmas by welcoming Santa to Brookside. Santa will make his grand arrival and will be bringing along a few of his friend including elves, gingerbread men and more.  The parade will finish with a festive stage show and an opportunity to meet Santa.

Sunday 2nd December

Community Christmas Show| Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, 10am – 2pm  NORTHSIDE

Hosted by insta-famous local mum Rosie Luik, join Indooroopilly Shopping Centre for a Christmas cracker of a concert with carols, dances and a whole heap of Christmas fun including feature performances from local schools

Peter Combe’s Christmas Album: Live In Concert!| Brisbane Powerhouse, 3pm NORTHSIDE

The original “King of Kids” is pumping up the Christmas spirit at Brisbane Powerhouse with a much needed burst of 90s nostalgia and Season cheer in a show for 6-96 year olds which will have you smiling from ear to ear while singing along.

Friday 7th December

Gold Lotto City Hall Light Spectacular  | King George Square, 7.30pm – midnight CITY (7th – 24th December )

Watch in delight as City Hall lights up with a magical light projection show that will entertain all ages, and is guaranteed to put everyone in the festive spirit.  This year Brisbane Families can watch a playful Aussie Christmas tale come to life via animation onto City Hall.

A Christmas Carol | QPAC, various times (7th – 20th December) CITY

See the world premiere of A Christmas Carol by Shake & Stir Theatre Co at QPAC this festive season based on the Charles Dickens classic tale.

Saturday 8th December

The Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols | Brisbane Riverstage, 4pm – 9pm CITY

Have a Merry Little Christmas at Brisbane’s signature carols event full of dancers, colour and fun as some of Australia’s most talented singers perform Christmas carols live on stage.

City of Logan Christmas Carols | Griffith University Logan Campus, 4.30pm – 9.30pm SOUTHSIDE

Bring your blankets along to this must see Christmas carol event with Samantha Jade, Paw Patrol and Alexa Curtis taking to the stage to entertain the masses.

The nutcracker queensland ballet

Thursday 14th December

Queensland Ballet’s The Nutcracker | QPAC, various times CITY (14th – 22nd December)

Once again this Christmas the Queensland Ballet are carrying on the beautiful tradition of performing The Nutcracker, a festive ballet to entertain the whole family, during December.

Christmas Parade presented by David Jones| Queens Street Mall, 7pm – 7.30pm CITY (14th – 23rd December)

See Santa as he is joined by elves, a nativity scene, dancers and musicians in this must see Brisbane Christmas event that has become a Brisbane tradition.

Friday 21st December 

The Spirit of Christmas | QPAC 2pm and 7pm CITY (21st & 22nd December)

The halls will be decked, the stockings hung. December 2018 welcomes back Spirit of Christmas, with all our favourite carols to be sung.
