Country festival caters for kids
Entertain the kids this May long weekend at Caboolture's QUT Urban Country Music Festival.
The little ones can enjoy fun workshops and activities at Dusty’s Kids in the Caboolture Town Square or plenty of rides and action at the Next Generation Station between the Town Square and the railway station.
They can also join mum and dad at the Urban Blaze Concert at the Caboolture Showgrounds on Sunday May 3 when families enjoy campfires and moonlight performances by a host of country music artists.
Australian legends Lee Kernaghan and John Williamson will headline the Main Concert at the showgrounds on Saturday May 2 alongside Adam Harvey. They will be supported by Jonah’s Road, Travis Collins and Liam Brew.
The popular Urban Country Farewell Concert to be held in the Town Square on Monday May 4 will feature Golden Guitar winner Brendon Walmsley.
Apart from the stage acts there also will be a host of entertainment throughout the festival including “horse whisperer” Guy McLean, horse demonstrations, bush poetry, whip-cracking and more.
Standard tickets to the festival’s Main Concert are available through the festival’s website at www.urbancountry.com.au or Ticketek (13 28 49 and www.ticketek.com.au). EFTPOS facilities will also be available for the first time on-site at the Caboolture Showgrounds.
