MULTIPLE DAY EVENTS
South Bank | 2016 Great Australian Bites | 23rd-26th January from 11am-9pm Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday; and 4pm-9pm on Monday – Head to South Bank and experience the Great Australian Bites which will showcase the modern nature of Australian cuisine this Australia Day long weekend. Kicking off on Saturday, visitors can enjoy four days of multicultural food delights and music – there will be something for everyone plus fireworks on Australia Day itself (Tuesday only) at 7.30pm.

Acacia Ridge | Australia Day Celebrations | 12pm-4pm – Head along to the Acacia Ridge Hotel where there will be free Australia Day entertainment with kids rides, face painting, fairy floss, games, live music and an Aussie BBQ.
Aspley | Aspley Court Australia Day Celebrations | from 8.15am – Bring your Brisbane Kids along to Aspley Court where they can celebrate Australia Day with a free sausage sizzle, flag raising ceremony, Australian Trivia Quiz and fun sports activities.
Bribie Island | Aussie Beach Party | 7:30am – 7:30pm – Head on down to Brennan Park on Bribie Island this Australia Day for an Aussie Beach Party! The 12 hour Aussie Beach Party will feature a variety of workshops, beach games, competitions and demonstrations that have a unique Australiana theme. Live music will liven up the beach throughout the day, along with markets and fun for the whole family ending with fireworks.
Caboolture | Australia Day 2016 Celebrations | 9am – 3pm – Held at 12 acre Caboolture Historical Village this Australia Day celebration will include market stalls, rides, live music, an Australia Day Parade and official flag raising ceremony. The Aussie fun will continue with re-enactments and cane toad races, plus come dressed as an Aussie Swag and you could win a prize! A free shuttle bus will run from Morayfield Shopping Centre and Caboolture Train Station on the day.
Cleveland | Australia Day Celebrations @ Cleveland Aquatic Centre | 10am-2pm – Cool off this Australia Day at the Cleveland Aquatic Centre where there will be Australia Day fun for the whole family with games and activities, a jumping castle and sausage sizzle.
Coorparoo | Australia Day BBQ Breakfast | 7am-9am – Enjoy a BBQ breakfast, cold drinks, homemade cakes and kids activities all in support of the Canossa Kindergarten.
Holland Park | Australia Day Family Fun Day | 3pm-6pm – Celebrate Australia Day with an afternoon BBQ, backyard cricket, face painting, craft activities, jumping castle, Aussie games and so much more.
Redcliffe | Australia Day Flag Raising Ceremony| 8.30am – 9.30am – Bring your Brisbane Kids along to the Redcliffe RSL this Australia Day to watch the cadet march and Australia Day flag raising ceremony.
Redcliffe | Fish, Fun and Aussie Sun | 10am – 7pm – Fish, Fun & Aussie Sun is a key Australia Day event in the Moreton Bay region that features free activities, rides, delicious food, delightful market stalls, lots of interactive entertainment and fireorks at 7pm.
Redland Bay | Australia Day Celebrations | 12pm-10pm – The Redland Bay Hotel is celebrating Australia Day with a petting zoo, pony rides and jumping castle for the kids as well as a thong throwing competition, mud crab races and more with spectacular views of the beautiful Bayside. .
Sandstone Point | Australia Day Pool Party | from 10am -Grab your togs and bring the whole family along to the Sandstone Point Hotel for their Australia Day Pool Party. There will be so much for kids to do with Australia’s tallest inflatable waterslide towering at 15 metre high, pools, kid’s face painting, slushies, kids rides, the playground and farm experience and of course acres of grass for them to run around and kick the footy. Beerwah | Australia Day @ Australia Zoo | from 9am – 5pm – Australia Zoo is celebrating in True Blue style this Australia Day and the whole family can celebrate with a pavlova eating competition, free billy tea and damper, face painting, and John Williamson performing his all time Aussie classic songs live in the Crocoseum at 11.30am. Plus there are lots of Australian wildlife to see and the famous crocs show in the Crocoseum.
Buderim | Australia Day Parade | from 7am – 1pm – Bring your Brisbane Kids along to Burnett St in Buderim to experience an Australia Day parade like no other. The days starts at 7.00am with a thanks giving service followed by a big breakfast at 7.30am. The flag raising ceremony will take place at 8am followed by a flypast of vintage planes at 9am and the colourful street parade. After the parade’s conclusion, there will be entertainment and food stalls at the new Buderim Village Park where the whole family can enjoy the rest of the Australia day celebrations.
Palmview | Australia Day Celebrations @ Aussie World | from 9am – 5pm – Aussie World is definitely the place to be this Australia Day. Starting at 9am, there will be a day full of Aussie fun with live entertainment, games, rides and Aussie food. The highlight of the day will be the famous Dunny Race Championship, along with the Tug of War and Mullet Tossing competitions. The day will be jammed packed with fun and activities that will be all about celebrating what it is to be an Australian, including Aboriginal art displays, cow milking, sheep shearing, whip cracking, free Billy Tea and damper an an appearance by Ned Kelly.
